Call for Poster Brochure
You are invited to submit your poster abstracts to the 3rd Annual Ohio Stormwater Conference. This year’s conference will be held at Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio. The agenda will be developed around 4 areas of interest:
Students, researchers, professionals and others have the opportunity to present findings of case studies, research or other important work during the conference. The conference breaks and reception will be held in this poster and exhibit area in order to facilitate discussion between the posters presenters, exhibitors and the other conference registrants.
Students selected for a poster presentation will receive a substantial discount and be eligible for a cash prize of $200. Undergraduate or graduate students proposing to present a poster must be thoroughly knowledgeable about the research and prepared to answer questions about the poster and project.
Expectations of Selected Poster Presenters
Posters must be displayed from the start of the conference until after the last break. Presenters are also expected to be available for answering questions and discussion during the first hour of the reception held during the conference (evening of the first day).
Poster Abstract Submission:
Please submit an abstract by December 30th, 2009. Refer to the Call for Poster Brochure for specific requirements.
Audience:
The Ohio Stormwater Conference attracts an audience that is very diverse. It represents technical and programmatic staff from local and state government, design professionals, researchers, staff and citizen members of watershed groups and others. Presenters at the poster session should be prepared to dialogue with people from a broad spectrum of backgrounds regarding the relevance of their material.
Format:
Poster must be mounted on a 32” by 42” stiff foam board and be presented in a visually attractive format. Easels will be provided for displaying the poster. The poster should include:

Landscape format.

A title banner across the top (no smaller than 100 point).

A logical flow of information.
-
Graphics that help to explain the subject matter quickly.

Section headings (no smaller than 64 point).
-
Body text (no smaller than 16 points).
-
Contact information for the author and researchers.
-
Implications for stormwater managers, designers, regulators and others.
Poster authors will be asked to submit a pdf copy of their poster for inclusion in the conference CD. These must be submitted prior to May 10, 2010 in order to be included.
